Aaron Gordon Falls Just Shy Of Triple-Double
5 years agoOrlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon nearly had a triple-double in the 116-112 overtime win over the Pistons on Wednesday. The 24-year-old finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal in 43 minutes of play. It hasn't been the best statistical season for the 2014 first-round pick, as he is averaging 13.9 points per game. However, after his underwhelming start to the season, Gordon has picked up his play as of late, scoring at least 16 points in six of the last seven games and has 23 points in four of the last seven contests. This is an encouraging sign for the starter, and he remains a solid fantasy play going forward after the All-Star break, especially since forward Jonathan Isaac (knee) is now out for the season.
