Bobby Portis Drops Team-High 19 Points Off Bench
5 years agoNew York Knicks power forward/center Bobby Portis led his squad in scoring for the first time in over two months during Friday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers. Interim head coach Mike Miller deployed the hot hand, allowing Portis to collect 19 points on 6-for-11 shooting overall as a reserve, including going 3-for-5 from behind the arc. The scoring output marks Portis’ most points in a contest since Jan. 14, as both his 28 minutes and six rebounds were the third-most on the team Friday. Despite his dynamic scoring ability, his current role makes him a difficult season-long fantasy option except in deeper formats.
