Malik Beasley Stays Scorching Hot, Drops Team-High 27 Points
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Malik Beasley has taken his opportunity with his new squad and run with it. Beasley led Minnesota in scoring for the second game in a row, finishing 10-for-18 from the field overall en route to a 27-point showing during Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics. In his four outings with the Timberwolves, Beasley hasn’t been bashful about firing from long range, averaging 4.5 makes on 10.3 attempts. With Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) set to miss at least the next eight games, Beasley projects as an excellent short-term season-long play in any format as he has shown a propensity for upper-echelon scoring production when given the opportunity. His next outing comes Sunday when he faces Denver for the first time in his career after having been dealt by the franchise earlier in the month.
