5 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Jayson Tatum continued his recent run of elite production during Friday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, compiling 28 points on 8-for-21 shooting, while grabbing 11 rebounds, marking his eighth double-double of 2019-20. Tatum has been on a particularly impressive rebounding run over his last four games, averaging 10 boards on a nightly basis. Similarly, he has shown an increased interest in the three-point shot, finishing 4-for-10 on Friday, while attempting an average of 9.4 shots from behind the arc over his last seven contests. He will hold a significant offensive role irrespective of when Kemba Walker (knee) returns to the mix, but on the heels of his first All-Star appearance, Tatum’s production is entering the most consistent stretch of his career.--Jesse Borek
