5 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday’s contest versus the Los Angeles Lakers, the second consecutive outing that he will spend on the sidelines. Marcus Smart entered the starting five in his place Friday and collected a double-double, as he figures to retain a significant role for the club so long as Walker remains out. Additionally, the trio of Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown all figure to see their shot opportunities increased. Boston head coach Brad Stevens has spoken about being cautious as it pertains to Walker’s injury, with his next chance to get back into action coming Tuesday against Portland.--Jesse Borek
