5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers small/power forward Mario Hezonja (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game versus the Detroit Pistons. The left ankle sprain has hampered Hezonja for two weeks, paving the way for Trevor Ariza to continue seeing a significant workload on the wing, in addition to Nassir Little getting additional run off the bench. Hezonja would be particularly valuable without Damian Lillard (groin) available for the time being, but his offensive infusion will be sidelined until at least Tuesday against the Celtics.--Jesse Borek
