5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard/small forward Ben Simmons (back) missed the first game of the second half due to a back ailment Thursday and after just five minutes on Saturday he departed to the locker room, only to be ruled out for the remainder of the contest. During his time on the floor, he made both of his field goals, finishing with five points, two rebounds, one assist and one block. In his absence, the trio of Alec Burks, Shake Milton and Josh Richardson are all likely to pitch in with ball-handling duties. Departing so soon into the outing likely doesn’t bode well for Simmons’ status Monday when the team faces Atlanta.--Jesse Borek
