James Johnson Excels With 19-Point Outing Off Bench
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves power forward/center James Johnson tied his second-highest point total of the season during Monday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks by collecting 19 points as a reserve. Rookie Naz Reid may have jumped him in the pecking order as it pertains to the starting five, but Johnson has been as consistent as they come since arriving in Minnesota, stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis. He added five rebounds and two blocks Monday, ahead of Wednesday’s meeting when he faces Miami for the first time since the 2015-16 season. He holds season-long value in most medium-sized formats due to his current multi-category contributions.
