5 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was able to muster a team-high 19 points during Monday’s defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies, but he shot just 5-for-17 from the field and recorded seven turnovers across his 29 minutes. The outing marks just the 10th time this season that Young was held below 20 points, with very little other contributions coming across the stat sheet, with just two assists to his credit. Shooting 0-for-4 from long range, Memphis became one of three teams to hold Young without a made bucket from deep this season. The nature of the defeat kept Young off the floor late, as he has ample time to recover ahead of what should be a golden matchup Friday against Washington as the league’s two most porous defenses faceoff.--Jesse Borek
