Danny Santana Still The Center Field Favorite
5 years agoTexas Rangers manager Chris Woodward told reporters on Wednesday that outfielder Danny Santana is likely to get most of the playing time in center field to start the 2020 season. The team said earlier this year that they were hoping to get prospect Nick Solak comfortable at the position to maximize Santana's utility around the diamond. That has been the case so far in spring training, as Solak has appeared in six games as a center fielder. Still, the Rangers are in an excellent position, and it seems they will have two viable options to patrol center field come Opening Day. Santana remains a must-draft in all leagues, while Solak is a late-round target for those that play in leagues with five outfielders or a middle infield position.
