5 years agoOrlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic continued his strong scoring stretch during Friday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing with 28 points to go along with 12 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double. With Evan Fournier (elbow) sidelined for the near future, Vucevic figures to see a slightly increased offensive role. Factor in that the Magic are battling to hang on to the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and Vucevic could be in store for some significant stat lines over the final month-plus. He next faces the Rockets on Sunday, who have notoriously eschewed playing a true center, which could present a vast number of mismatches for Vucevic, who is averaging 27.3 points over his last three contests.--Jesse Borek
