Welcome, RotoBallers! With soccer returning in Europe, I am making my return to giving you my DFS soccer picks. For those that don't know me, my name is Vince Dray. I've been covering DFS soccer for a few years now, and after debuting my first RotoBaller article on Saturday, I'm happy to join you again for some Sunday Bundesliga.
In this article, I will be providing you with my Bundesliga daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/24/20 for the slate that locks at 7:30 am ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports.
The main FanDuel DFS slate on Sunday is only two games, and below I'll give a quick preview of each of them (so you know what to expect) and then move onto some names to consider for your lineups. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck RotoBallers!

Bundesliga DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
FSV Mainz vs RB Leipzig
Leipzig (-1.0) are this slate's largest favorite even on the road. They're facing a Mainz side that is also just above relegation territory. Leipzig should have their way in this match, and they will be a popular DFS option. It is worth noting that the over/under in this game is a slate-high 3.0. This is a good place for top-tier, mid-tier, and value exposure on a small slate.
FC Koln vs Fortuna Dusseldorf
Koln (-0.5) is a modest home favorite on this slate, and they find themselves in matchup to exploit. Dusseldorf are a bottom 3 team in the league right now, and they won't be able to contain Koln on the road. Koln is a prime spot to get secondary attackers after your Leipzig guys. The over/under here is 2.5.
Now let's take a look at some of my top FanDuel DFS selections for the week!
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Timo Werner ($22) was disappointing last week for those of us who rostered him, but let's try again. He will get the honors on Sunday s the slate's most likely goal scorer. His opponent, Mainz, allow 2.12 goals per game this season (2nd worst in the league). On a site like FanDuel where you prioritize goals, he should be a focus of many lineups. The only reason to fade him is to avoid gaudy ownership numbers.
It should be easy to fit in a second Leipzig attacker on this slate with three viable options in different price ranges. Yussuf Poulsen ($19) is the second most likely scorer. Both Christopher Nkunku ($17) and Marcel Sabitzer ($15) are firmly in my player pool. They both provide some goal upside with plenty of crosses/assists. Rostering at least two of these Leipzig attackers, if not three, is recommended.
Mark Uth ($20) scoring last week will put him in a lot of lineups this weekend. While he is a good option, choosing Jhon Cordoba ($17) as your top Koln attacker since he's the most likely scorer in the matchup seems smarter. Florian Kainz ($18) is another elite play here with Dominick Drexler ($10) a top-tier value play in this matchup.
Both Duesseldorf and Mainz attackers on the road are a tough sell, but if you want to be different, Robin Quaison ($15), Rouwen Hennings ($15), and Erik Thommy ($14) can do it for you
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Angelino ($15) is one of the main pay-up defenders to consider on this slate with Leipzig's plus matchup. He should accumulate a ton of crosses again Sunday. If he can add in a few defensive stats, plus a clean sheet bonus, he has a chance at leading all defenders in fantasy scoring this week. Nordi Mukiele ($12) can provide come cheaper exposure in this matchup.
The three Mainz defenders will likely be popular with a good matchup against Leipzig. Jeremiah St. Juste ($13) will be in a lot of lineups after an assist last weekend, but it's really Moussa Niakhate ($12) that leads the team in meaningful defensive stats. Aaron Martin ($10) is probably, and unfortunately, off the radar this weekend as another 15 crosses isn't likely.
Koln defenders won't pique must interest this weekend outside of Sebastiaan Bornauw ($12) who could provide a low-owned goal and Benno Schmitz ($10) as a value play. The clean sheet bonus could be big for Koln defenders here.
Three Dusseldorf defenders are in play here. Zanka ($7) is too cheap for this matchup given he starts. Niko Giesselmann ($12) and Markus Suttner ($11) should also both be forced into a decent amount of defensive action against Koln.
FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers
Peter Gulasci ($14) is the go-to GK on Sunday. Both bonuses look likely and a few saves will put him well into the 20s. Timo Horn ($12) looks like a nice play for the second week in a row. He let us down last week, but this another great matchup at home against a team that averages just barely over one goal per game on the road (1.08/game). Horn and Koln should be able to shut them down.
