Nets Targeting Amir Johnson
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets center DeAndre Jordan and forward/center Nicolas Claxton (shoulder) will not be participating in the upcoming NBA restart. That means that Jarrett Allen is basically the only center on the roster. The organization is expected to bring in a veteran big man before the action starts later this month. Thirty-three-year-old center Amir Johnson is reportedly a prime target for the team, according to Marc Stein. He last played with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2018-2019. Johnson averaged 3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds through 10.4 minutes per game. He'll likely be looking at a similar role on the Nets, assuming they pursue him. Johnson wouldn't have much DFS value in Brooklyn.
