4 years agoBoston Celtics guard Kemba Walker (knee) is not expected to suit up for Friday's scrimmage against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team will hold out Walker for this meaningless game, but it sounds like he's close to being ready to play. "He’s felt great, he’s been able to add strength and those were the two things we needed to prioritize," said head coach Brad Stevens. Walker's left knee continues to give him problems, but the team is hopeful that he'll be 100 percent for the playoffs. The Celtics are expected to limit Walker's workload until the postseason.
