Gleyber Torres Leaves Game Early
4 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (elbow) was removed from the game in the bottom of the fourth inning on Thursday. Torres was hit in the elbow by a 95 mph fastball in the top of the first inning and was looked at by trainers before staying in the game for one more at-bat. It’s not clear if the Yankees are just being extra-cautious with the 23-year-old or if his elbow really bothered him in his second at-bat, but Torres’s removal should worry fantasy players who roster him. Tyler Wade came in at shortstop on Thursday and is likely to fill in if Torres misses any time.
