4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay played 26 minutes off the bench on Friday and took advantage of them. In a 129-120 win over the Sacramento Kings, Gay produced 19 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one block, while shooting 8-for-15 from the floor and 3-for-5 from behind the three-point line. The 33-year old has now scored at least 15 points in his last four games and is averaging 10.0 points per game on the season. Gay is a roster filler for those daily managers that have more money than they know what to do with, and that's not great. Managers would be better off paying up for more stars and taking a cheaper value play than use that salary on a low ceiling option like Rudy Gay.--Euan Leith
