Rougned Odor Exits Early With Oblique Injury
4 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor departed Saturday’s game against the Giants due to what has been deemed tightness in his right oblique. Prior to his departure, Odor went 0-for-2 at the dish, dropping his batting average on the year to .125. Nick Solak shifted over to second base upon Odor’s departure, and he figures to see the lion’s share of work at the keystone should Odor miss any time. Odor started similarly slow last year, batting just .145 through April, but he still managed to finish the year with at least 30 home runs for the third time in the past four seasons. A stint on the injured list would likely be the impetus for most season-long owners to cut bait on Odor, whose slow starts to seasons can be detrimental in the shortened 2020 campaign.
