T.J. Warren Erupts For Career-High 53 Points In Victory
4 years agoThe first player to reach 50 points inside of the NBA’s Orlando bubble is … Indiana Pacers forward T.J. Warren? A prolific scorer, Warren delivered the offensive performance of a lifetime Saturday, dropping 53 points against the Philadelphia 76ers on 20-for-29 shooting, including going 9-for-12 from distance. Only once before in his career had Warren reached the 40-point plateau, but he had everything working offensively Saturday, even with Victor Oladipo cleared to take the floor. While it’s naive to believe that Warren could keep up his first game usage on a nightly basis moving forward, the absence of Domantas Sabonis (foot) could allow for an increase on the 14.2 shot attempts that Warren had averaged prior to entering the bubble. His next outing is an extremely favorable one against a lax Wizards defense, although owners will have to consider Warren’s likely immense price spike.
