4 years agoCincinnati Reds center fielder Nick Senzel departed Friday’s contest due to a groin ailment and has now been held out of Saturday’s lineup against the Brewers. Manager David Bell revealed before the game that he expects Senzel back soon, potentially eyeing Tuesday against the Royals as a chance to have him rejoin the starting nine. Phillip Ervin and Shogo Akiyama figure to split center field duties without Senzel in the mix. Senzel has been snakebitten by injuries during the early part of his career, but is off to a solid start in 2020 with many of his Statcast metrics grading out well above-average. In addition to a 97th percentile sprint speed, Senzel’s .303 xBA ranks him in the top 10 percent of all batters in the Majors. Upon his return, he warrants consideration in medium-sized and larger season-long formats.--Jesse Borek
