4 years agoChicago Cubs pitching prospect Adbert Alzolay (forearm) took a ball off of his forearm and is dealing with a bruise. Alzolay was the most likely option to pitch Game 2 of Monday’s doubleheader versus the Cardinals, but his injury changed the clubs plans. Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports that if Alzolay’s bruise heels, he is an option to pitch on Wednesday. Alzolay is one of the Cubs top pitching prospects and had a 7.30 ERA in four games (two starts) at the big league level in 2019. Alzolay is an intriguing option in deeper leagues if he enters the rotation, but he should be avoided for now.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
