UFC Fight Night will once again take place inside the confines of the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. While this card obviously doesn't feature the the type of main event that UFC 252 had, Pedro Munhoz and Frankie Edgar should certainly be entertaining.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy MMA lineup picks for FanDuel for UFC Fight Night on 8/22/2020. You can check out our DraftKings MMA DFS picks as well. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced fighters and value picks on FanDuel.

FanDuel MMA Bantamweight - UFC DFS Lineup Picks
Pedro Munhoz, $21 - vs. Frankie Edgar
Munhoz and Edgar will go toe-to-toe to main event Fight Night on Saturday. While Edgar, who will be making his debut in the bantamweight division, will look to avoid another loss, Munhoz could be looking at a future tight opportunity with a win.
Munhoz will be entering the octagon for the first time since losing to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 238 in June 2019. Since then, the 33-year-old has tested positive for the notorious COVID-19 virus, which obviously could hinder his performance against the veteran.
Edgar is a former lightweight champion who holds victories over some of the most legendary fighters in the sport. He will also be entering this contest on the wrong side of the win column. He lost to Max Halloway at UFC 240 last Summer and was dispatched by Chan Sung Jung via TKO in December. A loss here may be the end of "The Answer's" tenure with the organization.
Both fighters are relatively the same size, with Edgar holding a slight edge in both reach and leg reach. In terms of striking, Munhoz leads the way with 5.29 significant strikes per minute. He also absorbs a lot more shots than his opponent. Edgar is more aggressive in the wrestling department and averages over two takedown attempts per 15 minutes. With a takedown defense of 81 percent, getting the Brazilian down to the mat will be no easy task, however. As a result, it is logical to assume that Munhoz will keep this one vertical and slug (or submit) his way to a win, possibly even inside the first round.
FanDuel MMA Flyweight- UFC DFS Lineup Picks
Mariya Agapova, $19 - vs. Shana Dobson
Agapova has won her previous three professional bouts. She signed with the Ultimate Fight Championship back in February and immediately made a statement by submitting Hannah Cifers with a rear-naked choke on June 13. This will be her second bout in just over two months, with a potential tight fight coming soon if she can rack up another win.
Dobson, on the other hand, could be looking at her final battle under the UFC banner. Going back to April of 2018, the 31-year-old has lost three-in-a-row, losing to Priscila Cachoeira by knockout in February.
While Dobson, or anyone for that matter, has a chance at winning, odds are she will be packing her bags after Saturday night. Look for this one to end quickly, potentially ending by either submission or strikes by Agapova somewhere in the first round. Make sure she is in your lineup.
Also Consider: Mike Rodriguez ($19), Daniel Rodriguez ($18), Dwight Grant ($17), Mizuki Inoue ($16), Joseph Solecki ($16), Amanda Lemos ($15)
