4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel returned to the club’s alternate training site Tuesday to begin ramping up for his return to the big league roster. Senzel last appeared Aug. 14 before being placed on the IL, paving the way for Shogo Akiyama to see everyday at-bats in center field. Reds manager David Bell noted Tuesday that Senzel would need to work his way back into game shape, which should peg a return to the lineup for sometime next week. Through his first 14 games, Senzel has amassed an .816 OPS, having failed to reach base in just two contests all year.--Jesse Borek
