Elvis Andrus, Rougned Odor Not Full-Time Players Down Stretch
4 years agoTexas Rangers manager Chris Woodward revealed Saturday that shortstop Elvis Andrus and second baseman Rougned Odor would not be everyday players over the final three-plus weeks of the 2020 season. Woodward opted for playing Anderson Tejeda at short over Andrus on Saturday, while Odor remains on the IL. Both Andrus and Odor are under contract through the ‘22 season, so the development could mean that neither holds much fantasy appeal heading into next year. Look for Nick Solak to see considerable time at second down the stretch, becoming a season-long commodity in medium-sized or larger formats.
