Bears @ Rams
More or Less Contest(s)
Recommended Prop Picks:
Jared Goff less than 247.5 passing yards: This is going to be a tight number, but I lean less than on it based on the Bears' pass defense. The Bears have been strong against the pass in 2020 as they have only allowed a total of 1,435 passing yards. This equates to allowing just under 240 passing yards per game from the quarterback position. They currently rank inside the top 10 in this stat category and have gone against some solid offenses in the likes of the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Nick Foles less than 246.5 passing yards: As good as the Bears Defense has been against the pass, the Rams have been even better. The Rams have only allowed quarterbacks to throw for 231 yards per game. Foles has not exactly had to rely heavily on the pass as the Bears have been a run-first team and relied heavily on their defense. This is the main reason that Foles has only averaged 219 passing yards per game in his first four starts, which includes a start vs. one of the worst pass defenses in the league in the Atlanta Falcons.
David Montgomery over 57.5 rushing yards: I have to hold my nose a bit with this one, but he is really the only weapon the Bears have when it comes to running the ball and the Rams have struggled a tad vs. running backs. They are allowing running backs to rush for 91 yards per game and are also giving up over 4.3 yards per carry. Montgomery has averaged nearly 14 carries per game on the season, but in a close game last week at Carolina, the Bears leaned on him and fed him the rock 19 times. While the Rams are favored by six points, I expect this game to be close and Montgomery to get enough carries to go over the total.
Allen Robinson more than 75.5 receiving yards: As good as the Rams pass defense is, this prop is just too low for me to go less than. Robinson is the most targeted receiver in the NFL thus far as he currently has 66 targets through his first six games. He has also caught 32 balls in his last four games and has become a very reliable target for Nick Foles. In the last four games, Robinson has gone over the total three times, including two games with over 100 receiving yards.
