4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell has been bumped to the bench for Wednesday's game against Detroit after he was late to shootaround, stemming from a COVID-19 testing delay. Ricky Rubio will enter the starting five, although it's unclear if Russell will also see decreased minutes/usage as a means of discipline. With one cancellation (Oklahoma City/Houston) having already taken place Wednesday, the Timberwolves appear to be making an attempt at stamping any issues before they arise as the season moves forward. Rubio could see a slight increase in minutes stemming from the incident.--Jesse Borek
