Keldon Johnson Draws Start For Wednesday’s Season Opener
4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs small/power forward Keldon Johnson will make the second start of his professional career Wednesday against Memphis. Johnson dealt with a foot injury coming into the year, but with Derrick White (toe) unavailable, the second-year wing vaults into the starting five. There is reason for optimism surrounding Johnson from a DFS perspective, as he averaged 9.1 points across 17.7 minutes per game last season. How much run that he receives despite his starting gig remains to be seen, making him a bit of a roll of the dice option. Should he hold down the starting four spot with consistency, he could gain season-long appeal over the coming weeks.
