4 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic wasted no time in reestablishing himself as one of the league's preeminent triple-double threats as he compiled 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 assists in Wednesday's season-opening overtime loss to Sacramento. Jokic may have produced a backbreaking turnover in the game's closing seconds, but his 42 minutes were tremendous from an overall fantasy perspective as he shot 11-for-18 overall and also added three blocks. With Jamal Murray both struggling from the field and ultimately fouling out, Denver's offense ran through Jokic down the stretch, as it may on occasion throughout 2020-21. His next matchup comes Christmas Day versus the Clippers, whom he posted six consecutive double-doubles against in last season's Western Conference Semifinals.--Jesse Borek
