Michael Porter Jr. Packs Stat Sheet During 24-Point Outing
4 years agoDenver Nuggets small/power forward Michael Porter Jr. was among the starting five for Wednesday's loss to the Kings and was all over the court during his 30 minutes of action. Porter finished with 24 points on 9-for-15 shooting, including going 3-for-7 from behind the arc. But he wasn't merely a one-trick pony, as he snagged five rebounds and added three blocked shots, two assists, and two steals to showcase his potential as a multi-category contributor for Denver no matter his role. While his fantasy output would stand to improve under the rumored proposed trade to Houston involving James Harden, Porter holds season-long appeal in all formats from the jump after his impressive first showing. He returns to action Christmas Day versus the Clippers, whom he was held in check against with seesaw performances in last year's Western Conference Semifinals.
