Theo Maledon Set For Debut Saturday, Ty Jerome Will Miss Game
4 years agoOklahoma City Thunder point guard Theo Maledon has been added to the team's roster for Saturday's game against Charlotte and is expected to make his NBA debut after having been taken in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft. With the Thunder thin at the PG spot with Ty Jerome (ankle) once again out of the mix, Maledon figures to factor into the team's second unit, particularly with both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and George Hill among the starting five. Maledon averaged 7.3 points across 17.3 minutes per contest last year as a member of ASVEL, a team in the French Pro A League. His fantasy outlook is murky to begin his career, but opportunities should be aplenty for the Thunder, who have compiled a makeshift roster to begin the new year.
