4 years agoDenver Nuggets small/power forward Michael Porter Jr. will miss Tuesday's game versus Minnesota as he continues to work through the league's COVID-19 protocols. Will Barton has stepped into a starting role without Porter in the mix, but his absence has also funneled additional shots in the direction of Jamal Murray, who dropped 36 points on the Timberwolves on Sunday. Porter has gotten off to a torrid start to the year, averaging 19.5 points per game on 56.6 percent shooting, knocking down an average of 2.8 threes on a nightly basis. His next chance to suit up comes Thursday against the Mavericks, although it's not clear if he can pass the necessary steps to return so quickly.--Jesse Borek
