Tremont Waters Draws Start In Place Of Marcus Smart On Monday
4 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Tremont Waters will start in Monday's contest against Toronto, which marks just the second start of his career. Having played just nine minutes across two contests for the Celtics this year, Waters figures to see an uptick in playing time with both Marcus Smart (thumb) and Jeff Teague (ankle) unavailable. Despite not drawing the start, DFS managers can expect Payton Pritchard to shoulder a hefty load as well, as the move likely comes as a means of keeping him with the second unit early in the contest. Waters is a risky one-night DFS punt play, with his extremely limited bench role to return upon Smart or Teague re-entering the rotation, which could come as soon as Wednesday versus the Heat.
