Derrick White Has 4-6-Week Injury Timetable
4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Derrick White (toe) is expected to miss the next four to six weeks due to a toe fracture that he sustained during his brief action in 2020-21. White missed the early portion of the year with a toe injury, playing just 23 minutes in his one game before hitting the sidelines again. Lonnie Walker IV has been entrenched among the starting five with White out of the equation, and he figures to retain his solid role as a contributor, giving him season-long appeal in deeper formats. The recurring toe issues, combined with the multi-faceted Spurs offensive attack, means that barring a spare Injured Reserve spot for White, he can likely be returned to the waiver wire by fantasy managers with his return at least a month off.
