Joel Embiid Set For Multi-Game Absence With Knee Injury
4 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will miss at least the next two games due to pain in his right knee. Embiid did not travel with Philadelphia ahead of their matchups Saturday in Memphis and Sunday in Oklahoma City. Without Embiid in the mix, fantasy managers can see Dwight Howard as a short-term stream option, while Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris should see additional upside as rebounders. Embiid has played 24 minutes or fewer in two of his past three games, a potential indication of Philly trying to keep him as healthy as possible moving forward. At this stage, there's no reason to suspect a longer absence, with his next chance to suit up coming Wednesday versus the Celtics.
