4 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game versus Detroit due to back tightness. Dwight Howard figures to step into the starting five and should see a sizable role without the anchor of the 76ers' defense in the mix. Howard has averaged 9.3 points and 10.7 boards during his three starts this year, ramping up his DFS intrigue exponentially. Embiid has delivered an MVP-caliber campaign thus far, but his back issues don't appear to be dissipating anytime soon. His next chance to take the floor comes Wednesday against the Lakers.--Jesse Borek
