4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge (hip) will not suit up Wednesday and likely faces a further absence due to a hip injury. Jakob Poeltl will start in place of the veteran versus Minnesota, a lineup shift that is likely to remain in place so long as Aldridge is unavailable. Formally a cornerstone of San Antonio's starting group, Aldridge has averaged just 23.8 minutes and 2.8 rebounds per contest over his last five games, severely cutting into his season-long fantasy appeal. While the Spurs appear committed to keeping him among the starting five, his hip ailment appears in line to keep him out longer than Saturday against Houston, which is his next chance to suit up.--Jesse Borek
