Jakob Poeltl Plays Well In Start Against Minnesota
4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl scored 19 points on 9-for-10 shooting in Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. In addition, he grabbed eight rebounds and blocked four shots. Poeltl also posted one assist and one steal. He'll play the Rockets on Saturday, who allow opponents to grab the fifth-most rebounds in the NBA while scoring the 13th-most two-pointers per game. Poeltl made his mark largely because LaMarcus Aldridge (hip) was out. The expectation seems to be that Aldridge will be out again on Saturday, which would mean another start for Poeltl. It's unlikely he scores this many points again considering his previous season-high was 13, but he can be a decent fantasy streaming play.
