4 years agoPlaying without Ben Simmons (calf), Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had to shoulder even more of the offensive load in Thursday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Embiid scored 37 points on 14-for-21 shooting. In addition, he grabbed five rebounds and blocked a shot. Embiid also posted one assist and one steal. He'll play the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, who allow opponents to score the third-most points per game. Regardless of Simmons' status, Embiid will be a top play on Saturday's slate due to Brooklyn's struggles on the defensive end, especially at center.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
