4 years agoOklahoma City Thunder point/shooting guard Theo Maledon has been deemed unavailable for Friday's game against Minnesota due to the league's health and safety protocols. Maledon's absence puts OKC in a perilous position as they'll have just the league minimum of eight players at their disposal, with Hamidou Diallo and Kenrich Williams likely to see whopping increases in minutes and usage due to the team's massively short-handed backcourt. Maledon has benefited from injuries in his own right, having averaged 11.6 PPG while shooting 50 percent from behind the arc since entering the starting lineup five games ago. His next chance to take the floor comes Saturday, although he'd likely need to convincingly test negative for COVID-19 to have any chance of that taking place.--Jesse Borek
