Kyrie Irving Will Miss Saturday’s Contest
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving (finger) has been ruled out for Saturday's game versus the 76ers due to a sprained right index finger. Irving's absence will allow James Harden to take over starting PG duties, just 24 hours removed from a contest in which he dished out 12 assists while taking just eight shots. As Kevin Durant remains questionable to play under the league's health and safety protocols, Harden should be in line for a massive roster percentage. Irving's absence marks his first since his return from a seven-game sabbatical, a stretch in which he has averaged 27.8 PPG across 37.9 minutes on a nightly basis. His next chance to return comes Tuesday against Detroit.
