Daniel Theis Departs Early Friday Due To Knee Soreness
4 years agoBoston Celtics center Daniel Theis (knee) was not able to return for the second half of Friday's game versus the Clippers due to a sore left knee. With Boston cramming games into a small window, it appears as if the organization was just playing it safe as it pertained to holding Theis out. Carsen Edwards kicked off the second half with the starters, a role that he could reprise should both Theis and Jaylen Brown (knee) remain unavailable for Sunday's contest against Phoenix. But head coach Brad Stevens sounded optimistic about Theis, saying, "I don't think it's anything big," which should pave the way for the big man to suit up Sunday.
