EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Leeds vs Crystal Palace
Leeds (-125) are home favorites as they host Crystal Palace on Monday. The two teams are level on points right now, but Leeds have a game in hand. Palace are coming into this game in better form with consecutive wins over Newcastle and Wolves, while Leeds have just lost to Everton 2-1. This should be a fairly even game in a matchup that could see plenty of scoring. The goal total over/under is 3.0.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Patrick Bamford ($15) leads the slate in anytime scoring odds at -110. He is in good form with a goal and three assists in his last two games after a few dud games. Palace's defense has not been that tight this season especially on the road where they allow 1.73 goals per game. The Leeds attacking unit is potent and they have a great matchup in this game. Bamford will be the popular play in the captain spot.
Raphina ($13) has been really good since getting into the starting XI regularly. He's got significant goal and assist upside, and he usually has a pretty safe floor with his chances created and other peripherals. Raphina is a solid option for the captain spot to differentiate some from the Bamford lineups, and he's a great pay overall.
I'm going to be targeting goal scorers on both side of the pitch on Monday. Palace have been able to find the back of the net more this year than in the past, and Leeds does not have a strong defense at all. They allow 1.81 goals per game which puts Michy Batshuayi ($12) and Eberechi Eze ($8) in my player pool as the two most likely scorers for Palace. Batshuayi just scored a few weeks ago against West Ham, and he definitely has good goal upside. However, his floor is also essentially zero, but Eze can provide a safer floor for cheaper. He still has nice goal odds at +375 for an $8 guy.
Kalvin Phillips ($6) is a nice value play on this slate. He does not offer much upside, but he's a nice cheap way to get some sure points which is always useful on a single-game slate.
Luka Milivojevic ($7) has gone from being a guy I played very often to hardly appearing in my breakdowns. He really has not been able to do much for Palace going forward as he has in the past, but he's a nice value play on this slate. He should be able to have a nice fantasy game against this Leeds defense.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
There are not many enticing options here on this slate. Patrick van Aanholt ($9) can provide some attacking upside with chances created and an assist here or there. He has not shown a ton of upside this year and his form has been inconsistent. However, this is a good matchup for him against a poor Leeds defense and in a game environment that should be solid for some defensive peripherals.
Luke Ayling ($9) can provide some additional exposure to Leeds' attacking unit. He can provide some upside with chances created as well especially with his team's style of play.
If you really load up on attackers, Nathaniel Clyne ($5) is a viable DEF punt as the cheapest expected starter on the slate.
