Desmond Bane Makes First Career Start Monday
4 years agoMemphis Grizzlies shooting guard/small forward Desmond Bane will enter the starting five for the first time in his career Monday. Bane earns the elevation after having averaged 9.7 PPG off the bench across his first 18 professional appearances, proving to be an elite-level marksman, knocking down threes at a 48.6 percent clip. Bane's spot among the starting five comes with Brandon Clarke (calf) out of the mix, with an extended absence from the big man and/or strong production from Bane potentially earning him more playing time. Having scored in double figures in six of his last seven games, Bane has some short-term season-long appeal in deeper-sized formats.
