Jahlil Okafor Will Miss Next 6-8 Weeks After Surgery
4 years agoDetroit Pistons center Jahlil Okafor (knee) underwent surgery on his left meniscus, a procedure that will keep him out of action for at least the next six to eight weeks. Okafor has been used sparingly off the bench this season for Detroit, ceding minutes to Isaiah Stewart in the role of backing up Mason Plumlee. Okafor's rookie production of 17.5 points per game seems like a lifetime ago, as he now battles for a roster spot at age 25. Stewart is on track to continue earning minutes with the second unit, as Okafor won't make a push for playing time until probably April in a best-case scenario.
