Jarrett Allen Remains Among Starting Five Wednesday
4 years agoCleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen will draw his second consecutive start Wednesday against Denver, with his spot in the starting group seemingly a long-term commitment from head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Allen played 34 minutes Monday, but snagged just five rebounds, a casualty of playing alongside Andre Drummond, who is second in the league with 14.2 boards grabbed on a nightly basis. With Kevin Love (calf) and Larry Nance Jr. (wrist) unavailable, Allen appears to be the team's preferred option at the power forward slot for the time being. Taurean Prince will continue to come off the bench, which may actually be beneficial for his upside as a scorer, having scored in double figures in two straight games.
