4 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Tyus Jones led all scorers in Thursday's 122-94 win over the Clippers, scoring a career-high 20 points on 9-for-11 shooting. He was 2-for-3 from downtown and added three assists, two rebounds, and one steal to his line in just 15 minutes off the bench. Jones doesn't get a lot of action with Ja Morant running the point in Memphis, but he's done well in limited minutes lately by averaging 13.7 points per game across his last three outings. He's also delivered three-plus assists in every game during the run and he's on a 10-game streak of posting at least one steal. Jones and the Grizzlies will face the Clippers again on Friday. This matchup is a goldmine for point guards, as the Clippers own the third-worst defensive record in the league against the position.
