With a third-straight absence seemingly likely, the 27-year-old may find himself sitting past the All-Star break while he continues to work his way back from right hamstring soreness. In his place, look for Derrick Rose to draw the start against his former team on Sunday night, with the veteran scoring at least 17 points in each contest during Payton's time off.
