D'Angelo Russell Eyes Return To Team Activities
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell (knee) is set to rejoin team activities within the next week, the first step in ramping up for a return to game action. Having undergone surgery with Minnesota significantly down in the standings, Russell has been eased back, not having played since Feb. 8. Ricky Rubio has taken over starting PG duties in Russell's absence and can be seen as a season-long asset so long as the left-hander is sidelined. The T-Wolves will play five games in the next seven days, all of which they will likely do without Russell. Check back for the latest updates to his status as they become available.
