Andre Drummond Nears New Team Decision; Lakers, Celtics In Mix
4 years agoFree-agent center Andre Drummond recently procured a contract buyout from Cleveland, allowing him to sign where he chooses for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. Drummond, who has been held out of game action since Feb. 12, is reportedly close to picking a new landing spot, with the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics near the head of the pack. L.A. would have an immediate need with both LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (calf) down, while Boston could desperately use Drummond's defensive acumen to aid their attempted ascension in the Eastern Conference standings. The New York Knicks are reportedly in play as well, although Drummond would likely share time at the center spot with Mitchell Robinson. Check back for word on where Drummond chooses to play the final few months, as where he signs will drastically alter his fantasy intrigue.
