4 years agoBoston Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum scored 34 points on Monday, but his performance wasn't enough in a 115-109 loss to New Orleans. The C's missed Jaylen Brown (hip) badly and Evan Fournier ended up having a shocker of a debut for the team with 0-for-10 shooting. Brown's absence gave Tatum all the keys to the offense, and he delivered with 12-for-25 shooting, which included a nice 5-for-9 record from behind the arc. He also had nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. Tatum now has two 30-point efforts in his past three games, and he'll look to keep up the good form against Dallas on Wednesday. The Mavericks own one of the worst defensive ratings in the league, so Tatum could finish off the month with a huge performance.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
