4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger was 2-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored, and a walk in Thursday's 8-5 loss to the Colorado Rockies. The 25-year-old belted a two-run, opposite-field homer in the third inning, but miscommunication on the base paths resulted in him being credited with an RBI single instead. Above all else, Bellinger's surgically repaired shoulder looked no worse for wear. Even though the homer did not count, Bellinger did not hit an opposite-field dinger in the 2020 season, so that bodes well. Look for the 2019 MVP to improve on all of his numbers from last season.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
